The annual Stone Santa Sleigh Tour organised by the Stone Round Table and its volunteers will not take place this year. However, local resident Nick has stepped up to save this Christmas tradition.
Round Table Cancels the Tour
After years of bringing cheer to the children of Stone, the Stone Round Table has confirmed they cannot run the Santa Sleigh Tour in 2024. A spokesperson said, “Unfortunately, we won’t be able to put together routes for this year’s Santa Sleigh. With losing members due to other commitments, it won’t be logistically possible.”
The Round Table remains hopeful, adding, “We will be hoping to draw some new members in the new year so will see what happens with Round Table then.”
Nick Introduces New Santa Sleigh Tour
Not letting the cancellation dampen the festive spirit, Nick plans to continue the tradition. “I’ve towed the sleigh for the last three years, so my friend and I are going to continue this tradition that means so much to children and families in Stone.” Nick explained.

Residents are encouraged to follow the official Facebook page for the latest information and opportunities to get involved. Nick’s efforts aim to ensure the Santa Sleigh Tour remains a cherished Christmas tradition in Stone.

Hi, we noticed some of the outer villages are not getting a visit due to man power/time and Stone is very happy the that Nick has taken up the task, could we help with the other areas? We have a sleigh, Santa and vehicle to tow. We are happy to pick up the areas Nick isn’t doing, we have our volunteers out at Brocton tomorrow which they’ve done for years so the sleigh is ready, happy to have a chat – 01785 472224

I could not assume that North Stone would include the Coppice Estate. Do we really still have a fight on our hands to see our community and their children be left out again?
