Dr Marc Hudson – Environment correspondent – Bio

Dr Marc Hudson has lived in Stone since 2022. He has been a student, teacher, a telephone operator, and a cinema usher. He was an NHS physiotherapist for over a decade, specialising in amputee rehabilitation. He then did a PhD at University of Manchester. He is the author of a 2024 book “Carbon Capture and Storage in the United Kingdom: History, Policies and Politics.”

He also blogs at marchudson.net and allouryesterdays.info (an “on this day” climate histories site).

He is not – and has never been – a member of any political party, in the UK, Australia or anywhere.

He is very happy to try to answer questions (but not on whether man-made climate change is happening – if you want to debate 19th-century physics, you are free to do so among yourselves.)

He is even happier to try to help individuals and groups in Stone (and as far afield as Eccleshall) trying to respond to climate change in Stone. This might include running workshops or, if necessary, giving short presentations followed by Q&A/facilitated discussion.

He is looking for someone to juggle (balls and clubs) with. And for someone with infinite patience to teach him how to play the guitar.
