Officers say the bikes were recovered today, Wednesday 1 April 2026, by Staffordshire Police’s County Proactive and Rural Crime Team. They believe the bikes may have been stolen from the Stafford and or Stone area.

The appeal includes a mix of mountain bikes and electric bikes, with each one numbered in the police photographs.

Police asking owners to come forward

Anyone who recognises one of the bikes, and believes it may belong to them, is being asked to contact the investigating officer with proof of ownership.

That could include photographs, receipts, serial numbers, or crime or incident reference numbers if the theft has already been reported.

In their appeal, Staffordshire Police said the bikes were “believed to be stolen from the Stafford and or Stone area”.

They added that anyone who thinks one of the bikes is theirs should contact PC 27184 Matthews by email at 27184@staffordshire.police.uk.

Nine bikes shown in police images

The recovered bikes shown in the appeal appear to include several e-bikes and a number of standard mountain bikes. Some are in good condition, while others look to have missing parts or visible damage.

Among the more distinctive ones are a bright green Cube bike, a red electric bike, a turquoise step-through electric bike, a black fat tyre folding bike, a blue Voodoo mountain bike, a grey Voodoo bike, a black Carrera bike, a gold and black Firebird frame, and a pink and black Polygon frame.

For anyone in Stone, Barlaston, Stafford or nearby villages who has had a bike stolen recently, it may be worth checking the images carefully.

Police have not said when the bikes may have been stolen, only that they were recovered on Wednesday 1 April 2026 and are believed to be linked to thefts in the Stafford and Stone area.

Anyone claiming a bike will need to show proof that it belongs to them.

That reference number again is 21260051030.
