Florist – Part Time – maternity cover

We’re looking for two lovely people to join our friendly team at The Flower Room and become part of our little flower family. 💐

 

🌿 Maternity Cover Florist

October/November start

3–4 days per week – mainly Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & some Saturdays.

Flexible hours which may vary week to week.

Floristry training or previous floristry experience is essential.

 

This role is for a fully trained and qualified florist who is confident working independently in a busy florist. We’re looking for someone who can hit the ground running and help maintain the high standards our customers know and love.

 

We’re looking for someone who:

✔️ Is an experienced, fully competent florist (or an established freelance florist)

✔️ For the permanent position, must be fully trained and qualified

✔️ Has excellent customer service skills and enjoys working with people

✔️ Is confident creating a wide range of bouquets and floral arrangements without supervision

✔️ Applicants must be aged 25 or over due to our vehicle insurance requirements

✔️ Holds a full, clean UK driving licence and is confident driving a small van

✔️ Is flexible and able to work Saturdays, bank holidays and busy seasonal periods, including Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and Christmas

 

The role includes:

🌸 Creating beautiful bouquets and floral arrangements

🌼 Conditioning and caring for fresh flowers

🚐 Delivering orders to customers

📞 Providing excellent customer service in-store and over the phone

🧼 General shop duties, including cleaning and washing buckets

☕ And, of course, making a great cuppa!
