After almost 14 years of covering news and events in Stone, A Little Bit of Stone (ALBOS) has now launched a brand new website.
Today, we are thrilled to unveil the next step in our journey: a comprehensive re-platforming of the ALBOS website, designed with you—our readers, contributors, and local businesses—at its core.
A Vision Brought to Life
Jon Cook explains the reason for the update:
“At the heart of ALBOS is our community, and it felt like now was the time to solidify that.
“As platforms like Google, Facebook, and X evolve, often limiting how we connect, we saw an opportunity to make things better.
I wanted our new website to be accessible, easier for readers, and to ensure we stayed at the top as Stone’s most trusted news website.”
This launch isn’t just about a new look; it’s a foundational shift towards greater independence, ensuring that our content remains accessible, engaging, and, trust worthy.
What’s New?
For now, our focus has been on transitioning existing content to a more robust, user-friendly platform—a task we’ve approached with meticulous care to ensure no story, no voice, is left behind. While specific new features are on the horizon, our current priority has been to enhance overall accessibility and provide a seamless experience for every visitor.
However, this is merely the beginning. The true potential of our website lies in what comes next—the stories we’ll tell, the features we’ll introduce, and the ways we’ll connect with each and every one of you.

Supporting ALBOS
Your support has always been the cornerstone of our success. Beyond engaging with our content and sharing our stories, there are several ways to contribute to ALBOS’s sustainability:
- Virtual Coffee: Show your support with a small, yet impactful gesture.
- Monthly Membership: Join our community of members dedicated to keeping local journalism alive.
- Mailing List: Stay informed and engaged with our latest updates and exclusive content.
Moreover, our “Letters to the Editor” feature invites you to be more than just readers; we welcome your stories, insights, and perspectives.
Looking Forward
In 2024, we’re on track to smash two key milestones that will take us to the next level:
- Reaching half-a-million page views on our website
- Surpassing 50,000 social media followers
While we continue to fine-tune and enhance our website over the coming days, we invite you to explore, engage, and let us know your thoughts. If you encounter any bumps, our contact page is always open: Contact Us.
