Staffordshire Wildlife Trust have launched a ‘Last Hedgehog in Staffordshire?’ campaign to raise awareness of the vulnerable plight of our prickly garden pals, whose numbers have sadly diminished dramatically over the years, with 95% of the population being lost since the 1950s.

Over 100,000 homes across Staffordshire will soon be receiving an information-packed booklet to alert people to the predicament. There’s lots more info and details of what you can do to help on the Trust’s website here https://www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/hedgehog

Meanwhile, has your home been invaded by spiders over the last few weeks? The Trust have certainly noticed an increase in reports. They’ve produced a guide to the creepy-crawlies that may be looking for shelter in your home (shudder!) – https://www.staffs-wildlife.org.uk/spiders
