A trim-endous opportunity at 3B Barbers for any budding barber

3B BarbersAfter an incredible run, Rachel at my beloved 3B Barbers is about to hang up her clippers. But this isn’t a tearful goodbye – it’s a wonderful opportunity, a chance for someone new to pick up the scissors and continue a legacy built on the friendly chatter and excellent cuts we’ve all come to love.

Rachel started her hairdressing journey as a YTS at Francesco Stone in 1987 and moved solely into barbering around 1995. After gaining invaluable experience under expert barbers in Stafford and hopping off travelling every now and again, Rachel eventually found her home at 3B Barbers. In her own words, she much prefers “gents cutting rather than the faff & drama of ladies.”

Rachel became the proud owner of the shop 16 years ago, buying it from Dan Walkenden, whose loyal customers are still part of the 3B family.

So, what’s for sale? Rachel is offering the fixtures and fittings, the goodwill of the business (that includes the client list, folks), and an opportunity to renew the lease from her current landlord.

The timing is flexible, with Rachel’s lease ending on 31st December 23. She’s keen to sell now and do a transition with the new buyer, offering to help them settle in and get to know the loyal clientele that has helped 3B become a cornerstone of our community.

Why the departure, you ask? Rachel’s husband is retiring early next year, and they’re looking at relocating to North Devon, with some European adventures on the horizon. But she isn’t leaving without a confident nod to the future: “It’s a great opportunity for someone to scoop up an established barbers with a fabulous clientele!!” – she’s got to be right as I’m one of them :D

If you’re interested in being part of this local legacy, pop into 3B Barbers and say hi. Rachel is always ready for a friendly chat and can provide further information.
