Dib dib dib! Scout Masters Kingsley Leigh and Simon McKnight will be launching a new Scout Group for everyone over 14 years of age, at Swynnerton Village Hall on the 20th May.
The group will be known as 1st Swynnerton (BBS) Scout Group and will be affiliated to the British Boy Scouts and British Girl Scouts Association, the world’s oldest Scouting organisation that encourages traditional activities based on the book “Scouting for Boys” written by the founder of this world-wide movement, Robert Baden-Powell.
David Cooksley, the Chief Commissioner of the BBS Association said “We are seeing a resurgence of interest in traditional Scouting activities right across the county. We have opened several new groups recently and welcome 1st Swynnerton (BBS) Scout Group joining us. I wish Simon and Kingsley every success in this exciting venture with any help and support required from the BBS Association.”

We intend to introduce the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award shortly and are laying plans for international camps. Simon and I are passionate about Scouting and hope young people will have a wonderful time with us and make friends for life.”[/box]
