An eight-year-old from Yarnfield is hoping for a bright footballing future after starting this season playing for Stoke City’s under-nine team.
Football mad Adam Jasper is in Year 4 at Springfields First School in Yarnfield and last season scored an amazing 139 goals for his team, Stone Dominoes Blacks under-eights. Unsurprisingly, he attracted interest from Manchester United, Port Vale, Crewe Alexandra and Everton, but opted to sign for Stoke City.
In October last year, he had a six-week trial at the Stoke City Elite Academy and this season has just started playing for the Potters’ under-nine team.
Adam was six when he first started playing football for a team, the Little Dots under-sevens in Yarnfield, but he was quickly moved to an older age group.
He’s certainly a keepie-uppie specialist, as this video shows!
Adam’s mum Kayleigh said: “Throughout last season Adam still trained and played matches for his Sunday league team, as well as attending Stoke City three times a week for training and matches. For an eight-year-old it’s a lot, but Adam has never been fazed by it and some Saturdays would play a match for Stoke then get changed and go straight to play for Doms! And he still kept up with his school work and is in top set for everything. We are very proud of Adam and what he has achieved. He loves every minute of it.
“We really want people to know about Adam and what he has achieved so when he plays for England one day, people will remember the little boy from Yarnfield who has come so far!”
Adam’s parents are currently looking for a local business to sponsor Adam – email kayleighjasper27@yahoo.co.uk for more information.

Adam has struck the eyes of many scouts and painsley catholic college. We would like Adam jasper to join our football team. His ball control with his mouth I mean feet is superb 10/10 performances! He is a cracking aspect and difference to a football team and is hugely supported by his abilities in bed and off bed with daisy j! Lovely to watch 😉
