Stone based charity AEDdonate is appealing for help to find a new home for its clothing and book donation banks after losing access to its current site on Crown Street.

The charity has confirmed that access to the car park at its Crown Street location has closed, meaning the existing donation banks need to be relocated.
AEDdonate currently operates two banks in Stone. One for clothing donations and another for books. Both are used to raise funds that support the charity’s work placing defibrillators in local communities.
The charity is now looking for a new host site, ideally within the ST15 postcode area.
They say the ideal location would be a place with a car park and easy access for residents dropping off donations. This could include a business premises, community organisation, or land owned by someone willing to help.
In a message shared with A Little Bit of Stone, AEDdonate said the move is necessary to ensure donations can continue without disruption.
They also reassured potential hosts that all sites are kept tidy and well maintained. Donation banks are emptied on a weekly basis to prevent overflow or mess.
The donation banks accept good quality clothing and books, with clear guidance on what can and cannot be donated. Items left in the banks help generate ongoing funding for community defibrillator installations and maintenance across the area.
AEDdonate has been active in Stone and the surrounding villages for several years, working with local partners, businesses and volunteers to improve access to lifesaving equipment.
The charity says having a visible and accessible donation point in Stone remains important, both for fundraising and for keeping the organisation connected to the community it serves.
Anyone who may be able to offer space, or who knows of a suitable location, is encouraged to get in touch directly with AEDdonate to discuss the options.
