Appeal after flytipping in Hilderstone wood

flytipping

Stafford Borough Council has appealed for information after a large mixture of household and domestic waste was dumped in a wood in Hilderstone.

A bed, motorcycle tyres, plasterer’s waste, fencing, rubble and domestic waste in black bags is thought to have been dumped in Hardwick Wood off Jolpool Lane on 2nd January.

The latest pictures of illegally dumped rubbish have been posted on Stafford Borough Council’s website as part of its ‘Grimewatch’ campaign.

‘Grimewatch’ is an initiative to help catch fly tippers with the help of the public. Residents are asked to provide information from pictures and details of the ‘unsolved grimes’ featured at www.staffordbc.gov.uk/grimewatch

It always amazes me that these people can mange to drive out to the countryside to dump their rubbish, but cant mange to drive to a council tip (as we used to call it) Don’t they know it’s free and the staff will even help unload their vehicle. I can’t praise the facility in Stone highly enough for their help, courtesy and the pride they take in their jobs and working environment.
