Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal road traffic collision near Stone this morning.
Emergency services were called to Uttoxeter Road, Coton, Milwich, at around 8.40am following reports of a road traffic collision involving a blue Triumph motorcycle and a yellow articulated HGV. The male motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
The stretch of road remained closed this lunchtime while emergency services were still at the scene. Both the male driver and male passenger of the HGV were uninjured. An investigation into the circumstances of the collision is now underway.
Anyone who witnessed the collision, or the driving of the motorcycle and HGV prior to the collision, is asked to contact Inspector Adrian Scott at Staffordshire Police on 0300 123 44 55 quoting incident number 102 of September 22.
