Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service has appealed to Stone businesses to donate items to be used as raffle prizes at the Family Day on Saturday 15th September.
Family Day is the service’s biggest event and is held bi-annually at the HQ site in Stone. All proceeds raised on the day will go to the Firefighter’s Charity, which supports ill and injured firefighters during their time of need.
Events manager Jude Russell said: “If there are any businesses who could donate a prize for our raffle we’d be very grateful and the business would receive recognition for their donation on the day, which is being hosted live by Stafford FM.”

Entry is free on Saturday and members of the public are invited for a fun-filled day between noon and 4pm. Families will be able to watch a variety of firefighting demonstrations, including animal rescues, fire house rescues and car crash extrications.
There will also be the opportunity to take a tour of the service’s fire control and be entertained by service mascots Welephant and Blaze Bear, jugglers and a mini-Landrover ride for the kids. Refreshments will be on sale throughout the day as well as a hog roast and BBQ.
