Appeal for witnesses after Aldi collision

Staffordshire Police has appealed for witnesses following the serious road traffic collision on Aldi car park in Stone yesterday.

The incident happened at around 4.05pm on Monday 22nd December on the car park of Aldi, off Stafford Road (A34). The collision involved a pedestrian and a black Ford Focus.

The pedestrian, a 57-year-old woman from Stafford, suffered serious head injuries and was taken to The Royal Stoke University Hospital where she remains for treatment. Her injuries are described as life threatening.

The car park remained closed for around two-and-a-half hours while a detailed investigation was carried out at the scene.

Witnesses are asked to contact Staffordshire Police on 101, quoting incident number 487 of December 22.
