Arrests after Crown of India disturbance

Two men were arrested in Stone last night after a disturbance at the Crown of India restaurant in Market Square.

A 23-year-old man was treated at the scene by paramedics for facial injuries but it’s not believed that he required hospital treatment. Police were called to the incident just before 7.30pm on Tuesday night.

A Staffordshire Police spokesman said today: “The man received a minor puncture wound to his face and inquiries are ongoing to establish how this was caused.”

A 53-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault and a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public order offences. They both remain in custody for questioning.
