Visitors to Stone Heritage Centre this month can get hands-on with local artist Ed Jeavons, who will be leading two public workshops inspired by his exhibition Unearthed.

On Saturday 22nd November and Saturday 29th November, from 2.00pm to 3.30pm, Ed will guide participants through creative sessions exploring images of Stone in different mediums. Using experimental drawing and printmaking techniques, attendees will have the chance to create layered and textured works that reflect the town’s character and history.
The sessions are open to everyone, with no need to book – just turn up and take part. Materials will be provided, and all levels of experience are welcome.
The pieces created in these workshops will go on to form part of a new exhibition titled Layers of Stone, which runs at the Heritage Centre from 8th to 20th December 2025.
The workshops continue the collaborative spirit behind Unearthed, which opened earlier this month and has drawn visitors from across Staffordshire.
