Artists from Stone are being encouraged to submit their work to the 22nd annual Staffordshire Open Art Exhibition 2012.
The competition – organised by The Shire Hall Gallery in Stafford – provides an ideal opportunity for local artists of any age to display their work in a premier visual arts venue.
The Staffordshire Open Art Exhibition is one of the Shire Hall Gallery’s most popular exhibitions attracting over 15,000 visitors each year. The competition is open to artists of any age who were born in Staffordshire or who live, work or study in the county.
The gallery has announced that this year’s main prize of £1,000 is sponsored by SCHOTT UK Limited. Over 100 artists will get to showcase their work at the exhibition when it opens to the public.
All works must be original and produced within the last three years and should be submitted to the Shire Hall Gallery on Friday 27th and Saturday 28th April during normal opening hours. The gallery will be closed for selection on Monday 30th April, with the exhibition opening to the public on Saturday 19th May, running until Sunday 8th July.
