Aston Marina’s new offering alongside its popular lockdown takeaway, new ‘cook at home’ meal box saw a successful first week last weekend, and this weekend is set to be even more popular.
Ideal for those who want to hone their skills in the kitchen or expand their culinary repertoire, each box will come with all the ingredients needed to cook up a delicious meal for two, alongside a bottle of wine.
The first cook at home box last weekend came with step by step instructions to create Red Snapper and Prawn Linguine with garlic, white wine, shallot crème sauce, flat leaf parsley and garlic ciabatta. The menu for this weekend, 12th – 14th February, is a classic Red Hereford 28 day matured sirloin steak (8oz), peppercorn & brandy sauce, chunky chips, rocket, sun-blushed tomato & parmesan salad, balsamic dressing, and to top it off, a blackcurrant & cassis cheesecake – perfect for Valentines day!
Available by pre-order only for collection on Friday, Saturday and Sunday it is priced at £30 for two.

Our lockdown takeaway, heat-at-home Sunday roasts and No.26 at home celebration menus have all been a huge hit, and we’re grateful for the ongoing support of our lovely customers – although naturally we can’t wait until we can welcome them back into the restaurant to dine with us.
“The cook-at-home boxes are the next step in the evolution – the idea being to offer those who are honing their cookery skills during lockdown to learn a new recipe. The dishes will be designed to give home cooks the skills to recreate restaurant-standard dishes at home using ingredients they may not normally pick up with the weekly shop. Our Head Chef Andy Pickstock has done a great job coming up with some fantastic dishes and we look forward to seeing how people recreate them at home.”
