A team of Year 11 students from Alleyne’s Academy in Stone won the Stafford and District badminton tournament on 21st January.
The badminton players are pictured below following their victory – from the left are Matt Pontin, Ben Harvey, Ciaran O’Brien, Shattom Ghosh and Rhys Warfield. Congratulations to all of them!
Coached by teachers Miss Patrick and Mr Molloy, the boys’ performance was outstanding as they won all of their matches to take the title.

They represented the district at the Staffordshire County finals at Fenton Manor on Thursday- we’ll have new of how they got on soon.
