BEAR planning application approved to convert HSBC

BEAR StoneUttoxeter based BEAR are extremely excited about converting a former Stone bank to a new coffee house, kitchen and bar following their change of use planning application being approved

As we reported in May, BEAR already have establishments in Uttoxeter and Derby and they position their offering as a refreshing progression over the traditional High Street coffee shops that people may be familiar with.

The former HSBC bank has been closed since November 2016 and BEAR hopes to go full steam ahead with their development plans and be open by October 2018.

Craig Bunting, co-founder of BEAR, told A Little Bit of Stone:

“Stone Town Council have been extremely supportive during the planning process and have welcomed us with open arms. It’s refreshing to see a proactive team that champion their town.
We’re exited to join the High Street and make some new friends. We love what we do and can’t wait to share a coffee or cocktail with you, maybe a cheeky bit of brunch too!”

It’s great to see the former bank being brought back into life, we wish the BEAR team all the best as they now start the construction phase of their plans.
