Ben Moor brings A Three Thing Day to Crown Wharf Theatre

Acclaimed writer and performer Ben Moor will bring his latest solo comedy, A Three Thing Day, to the Crown Wharf Theatre in Stone on Thursday, 30th October 2025.

The show follows one day in which Moor’s character has three very different events to attend: a funeral, a family meeting and an art show opening. As he travels between them, he reflects on the people who make life brighter, the oddities of the everyday, and even the frustrations of a failing phone. It’s a story that blends the ridiculous with the heartfelt, finding humour and beauty in the present moment.

A show full of surprises

Audiences can expect Moor’s trademark style of “stand-up theatre”, mixing quick-fire one-liners with surreal and poetic storytelling. Themes range from time and memory to snacks, moths and even dolphin infestations. Alongside the laughs are moments of tenderness and thought, all wrapped in a performance that is both playful and contemplative. And yes, there are even a couple of knock-knock jokes.

The performance is underscored with original music by Simon Oakes and Suns of the Tundra, adding a distinctive layer to the experience.

“I’ve watched Ben’s shows over many years, usually at the Edinburgh Festival. From ‘Coelacanth’ to ‘Who Here’s Lost’.
