Stone singer-songwriter Ben Owen played his first headline gig at The Sugarmill in Hanley on Saturday night (9th March).
Ben is really making a name for himself on the live music circuit and was joined on stage on Saturday by long-term collaborator Robbie Sherratt on violin.

As well as his own music, Ben organised a young musicians’ showcase at last year’s Stone Music Festival, one of the highlights of the event. He also runs a youth music project called Interjam at Stone Youth Centre after getting funding from O2′s Think Big project. Ben also stages a regular open mic night at The Star on Wednesday nights.
