Stone’s performing arts school Rooftop Studios is running four blockbusting day-long workshops over the course of the half-term week.
Catering for children between four and 12 who will be split into age-specific groups, each of the days will be themed around a different Hollywood blockbuster.
On ‘Nicktunes Tuesday’ (31st May) kids will get creative with a Spongebob arts & crafts session, Goofy Goober dance class, and a cartoon workshop – followed by an afternoon relaxing in front of The Spongebob Movie with milkshake and popcorn.
Little wizards and witches will love the Harry-Potter themed ‘Wizarding Wednesday’ on 1st June where their imaginations will be able to run wild with magical arts & crafts – and both drama and dance sessions based on the stories – before it’s movie time again with the first film in the Harry Potter series.
Thursday 2nd June is ‘Minion Madness’ day with minion face painting, singing & dancing to the minions’ banana song and Despicable Me-themed drama sessions; before the film Despicable Me/The Minion Movie is screened in the afternoon.
Last, but certainly not least, comes ‘Feel the Force Friday’ on 3rd June, where kids will participate in Star Wars model making and street dance with a Star Wars theme. Younger ones will love the Light Sabre and Star Wars Games and a storytelling session where they’ll be encouraged to ‘bring the Galaxy to life’; while the bigger kids can get a feel for the big screen as they shoot Star Wars movie scenes before learning stage combat skills.

“The aim will be to offer truly flexible sessions – you can pick n mix anything from a single half day to one or two full days, or even the entire four-day course – that the kids will love going to.”[/box]
Rooftop Studios’ Half Term Club will run from Tuesday 31st May – Friday 3rd June 2016. Spaces cost £12.50 for a half-day; £23 for a full day and £80 for all four days. Sibling discounts and before and after care options available too.
