Bloom Stone transitions to Blame Frida – a new chapter for the popular High Street bar

Blame FridaThere’s been a shift in Stone’s vibrant nightlife scene as the popular high street bar and restaurant Bloom has blossomed into Blame Frida.

The previous owners, Ian and Jack, have passed the baton to new owners Ryan Fanthorpe and Pete Terry, who plan to rebrand the venue as “Blame Frida”, with Bloom emphasising that the transition will not affect the operations of Bloom’s other venues in Hanley and Newcastle.

Blame Frida OutdoorBloom Stone, which opened its doors in September 2022, quickly became a buzzing hotspot in the heart of Stone. The new owners aim to build on this success by introducing a fresh concept that adds a sprinkle of Mexican flair, paying homage to the iconic artist Frida Kahlo, who serves as the inspiration for their funky brand.

In a statement released by the previous owners, they assured that all existing bookings will be honoured during the transition period. “We are confident we are leaving the venue in safe, capable hands,” they said, expressing their best wishes for Breakthrough Bars’ future in Stone.

Ryan Fanthorpe, stepping into his first venture, is excited to bring the Blame Frida concept to Stone. “We want to hit the ground running with the business. Some things will work, and others won’t work as well, but we are determined to make this site a staple within Stone’s community,” he said.

Blame Frida BarPete Terry, CEO of Disco Bowl, owners of the largest bowling centre in Europe, echoed Ryan’s sentiments. “We want to continue what Jack & Ian have done here but evolve it into something of our own. We’ll be investing heavily into the site on the buildup to relaunching on the August bank holiday,” he stated.

Ahead of the official relaunch as “Blame Frida” in time for the August 2023 bank holiday, the team will continue to offer a full menu focusing on classic small plates and chef specials. A DJ will keep the vibes going every Friday and Saturday from 8pm.

For updates on the changes and relaunch, follow Blame Frida on all social media platforms and book via www.blamefrida.co.uk.

ALL PREVIOUS BOOKINGS WITH BLOOM WILL BE HONOURED & CONTACTED BEFORE THEIR BOOKING
