The Co-op supermarket in the High Street and Morrisons petrol station unit were both broken into in the early hours of Saturday morning (13th June).
The incidents happened within minutes of each other and police are appealing for anyone with any information to get in touch.
At around 3.45am, offenders forced the roller shutter doors in the loading bay area of the Co-op with a dark-coloured vehicle. Offenders entered the store and went to the cigarette kiosk. where they attempted to get into the cigarette cabinet. They were disturbed by security system and left, but did take some cigarettes with them, as well as causing several thousand pounds worth of damage.

At around 3.50am two male offenders forced their way into Morrisons petrol station unit on Mill Street. Once inside they got through one door, but were unable to get through a second.
One man then smashed glass to get to the cigarette cabinet. They attempted to get into the cabinet but failed and left. They caused around £2,000 of damage. Both wore dark-coloured clothing.
