A Stone cabbie whose wife is making a recovery from breast cancer has boosted a national charity by donating a day’s fares to Breast Cancer Care.
Taxi driver Bill Hilton, who works for K Cabs taxis, raised £116 for the breast cancer charity by donating all of his fares, plus a further donation, as part of a Pink Friday fundraiser. He has received a certificate from the charity to thank him for his generosity.
Bill said: “Breast Cancer Care were so fantastic with me and my wife and we got so much support. I wanted to do something for them in return. All my passengers on the day were really generous and all gave an extra donation to the charity.”
