The Arcadia cafe and Yorkshire Building Society branch were both burgled just before Christmas and Staffordshire Police have appealed for information from people in Stone.
A police spokesman said: “We were contacted at around 11am on Sunday 23rd December by staff from Arcadia Cafe in Somerfield Arcade to report a burglary. Offenders broke into the building by smashing a window and stole a quantity of cash.
“Police were also called at around 9am on Monday 24th December following a break-in at the Yorkshire Building Society agency branch in the High Street. Burglars smashed a window to get inside and stole a charity box. Nothing else was taken.”
