Elaine ‘Lainy’ Davies, drummer with local blues band Cobalt, has been raising money over the last 18 months for Heart Radio’s charity which aims to improve the lives of seriously and terminally ill children, Have A Heart.
She’s just completed a challenging 6-day trek across the Grand Canyon, no mean feat. The money raised from this event will be going to the Make A Wish and Ray of Sunshine charities.
Lainy was accompanied by 23 intrepid friends, and so far, they have managed to raise a staggering £77,500! Their ultimate aim is to reach their target of £100,000.
