No one says that the Reform Party candidate broke any law by ditching his party at the very last minute in return for a paid job with the Conservative Party.
But the role of former United Kingdom Independence Party Councillor Steve Hollis in somehow managing to exploit this at the last second and insert this dummy paper, is being investigated.
Happy to pass on that after much effort, the police are looking into the scandal, and I remain optimistic some arrests may result. Perhaps Mr Hollis or Miss Mackay could co-operate and put their side of the story here, as could several Labour Party Councillors.

The good people of Stone need an update on the shady goings-on in the weeks after the ex-PM announced the general election.
The deceitful REFORM hopeful Tom Wellings had every intention of submitting his nomination and then withdrawing it, with only minutes to spare so REFORM could not replace him, in favour of ‘Sir’ Gavin Williamson (in return for job and position), almost guaranteeing that bully being re-elected. And that is exactly what Wellings did.
If that wasn’t bad enough, the local Labour councillors got wind of Wellings’ intention and tipped off their past ally, ex-Cllr Steve Hollis of UKIP, with a suggestion his party could slip a candidate in under the radar and harvest REFORM votes, helping to split votes on the right and giving Labour some chance of taking the election. And that is exactly what Hollis did, UKIP collaborating with the Labour Party.
Despite being an idiot, Hollis had sensed possible illegality and the potential for scandalous publicity for UKIP, so instead of standing himself he got some other UKIP idiot – from 300 miles away in Scotland, with no connection to Stone! – to stand instead, with him as el.agent. What did UKIP gain from this? It got almost as many votes in this one seat as the miserable total its other two dozen candidates got lumped together!
Cons, UKIP and Labour have all defecated on the voters of Stone. I have lodged a formal complaint with Staffordshire Police. The Crime Reference Number is

This is a little more sinister than the other commenter seemed to understand. I know from the electoral department at SS Council that Mackay’s very peculiar 300 miles distant, out of the blue entry was not submitted at the last minute “somehow” taking advantage of Wellings’ declaration, but instead was made by her election agent, the former county councillor Stephen Hollis, shortly after nominations opened!
U.K.I.P. has fewer than two dozen candidates nationally, all the others local to their constituencies. What it did here stands out like a sore thumb.
All this can only means that he or they had foreknowledge of Wellings’ then-secret plot, which affair is presently being investigated by The Electoral Commission, the Acting Returning Officer and has been referred to Staffordshire Police.
The U.K.I.P. election agent and/or candidate could be seen as accessories in this sordid and corrupt matter, which smacks of sharp practice if not outright deception or electoral fraud.
I call on Hollis, who was seen off in May 2023, him finishing sixth, when he ceased to be Councillor for Cheslyn Hay, Essington and Great Wyrley, to speak the truth and own up to his role, and face the music.

Shame-less candidate lives in Scotland has no interest in our community 100% opportunistic somehow got to hear of the Reform defection and plonked herself here where SHE IS NOT WELCOME not even the common courtesy or decency to reply to the Q&A let alone attend hustings. If tempted to vote for her vote Conservative instead or if you cannot bring yourself to do that spoil the ballot do not give ANYTHING to this illegetimateparty led by CASHFORQUESTIONS NEIL HAMILTON!!!!
