Car seized on the A34 in Stone after driver found to have no licence

A vehicle was seized on the A34 in Stone this afternoon after police found the driver had no licence. Officers reported the incident shortly after the stop.

Roadside stop on the A34
The Staffordshire Road Crime Team shared the update along with a photograph showing a black Hyundai pulled over ahead of a marked police car on a stretch of the A34 by the Stone House Hotel.

Posting on Facebook, The Staffordshire Road Crime Team confirmed:

“Vehicle stopped on the A34, Stone this afternoon, following checks, the driver had NO licence which resulted in the vehicle being seized, and the driver reported at the roadside.”

The car has now been removed and the driver will face further action. Police teams continue to run regular checks across Staffordshire as part of routine road safety work.
