Stone Womenswear shop Carla is set to cross the High Street, promising an expanded, inclusive, and vibrant experience for shoppers.
Since Carla landed in Stone, the business has gone from strength to strength. Initially situated in Granville Square, in what is now The Card Tavern, Carla took the leap onto Stone High Street – opposite B&M when the opportunity came up.
Now the opportunity has knocked again, and Carla is set to take her trademark pink door across the High Street to the former Josie shop – just down from Costa.
This move isn’t just a change of address; it’s a bold step towards realising a vision of expansion, inclusivity, and enhanced service that Carla, the shop’s passionate owner, has nurtured for over two years.
A Move Driven by Vision and Necessity
Carla’s decision to move her boutique stems from a mix of vision and necessity. While filled with memories and milestones, the current premises pose several challenges that hinder the shop’s potential. Accessibility issues, inadequate lighting, and the absence of essential facilities have compelled Carla to seek a new home for her business. The new location promises to overcome these hurdles, offering a welcoming space for pushchairs and mobility aids, improved lighting for live showcases, and much-needed storage and facilities to enrich the customer experience.

Enhanced Experience and Community Focus
The relocation is more than just a solution to logistical challenges; it’s an opportunity to enhance the boutique’s offerings. Larger, more private changing rooms will allow for one-to-one consultations, ensuring a personalised shopping experience. Carla’s commitment to community and engagement will see the return of popular ladies’ evenings, where customers can enjoy a fun night out with friends, complete with fizz and fashion.
Carla’s vision extends beyond traditional retail, aiming to create a community hub that offers more than just clothing. The boutique will host live sessions every Thursday, offering styling and colour advice and discussing a range of issues and experiences. This community-oriented approach also includes support for local businesses and services, from showcasing locally made products to hosting events like tarot ladies’ evenings.
A Comprehensive Range of Services and Support
One of Carla’s most exciting introductions will be a range of services designed to make women feel good inside and out. Carla recently took a bra measuring specialist course and plans to extend her expertise to post-surgery consultations. The boutique will also host small fashion shows and offer a space for services like aromatherapy massages, with plans to include reflexology, nutrition support, menopause and fertility support, hypnotherapy, and more.
A New Era of Online Presence and Accessibility
A curated online store will feature a core range of easily reorderable basics, complementing the in-shop experience. This digital expansion ensures that the boutique’s unique offerings are accessible to a wider audience, bringing Carla’s personal touch and expert advice to customers far and wide.

A Personal Journey and Community Invitation
Behind this ambitious move is Carla’s personal journey, touched by empty nest syndrome and menopause, driving her passion for creating a vibrant, supportive community space. Her story resonates with many, and she invites the community to join her in this exciting new chapter. From locally made beeswax products to exclusive UK-made perfumes, the boutique will continue to offer a carefully selected range of items that celebrate local craftsmanship and sustainable beauty.
As Carla prepares to open the doors to her new location, she extends an open invitation to ideas, collaborations, and conversations.
Carla is holding an open evening at the new shop at 6:30om on Thursday, the 29th of February, where attendees can see the new stock and products on offer.
