Challenge UK’s strongest man to an arm-wrestle!

Eddie Hall, Britain’s strongest man. Fancy challenging him to an arm-wrestle!?

Britain’s strongest man will be challenging local people to an arm-wrestle at a big fundraising event in Stone this weekend!

Eddie Hall will be at the fundraiser for the Douglas Macmillan Hospice and the Stone Chernobyl Children’s Project at Stone Cricket Club on Sunday 14th October from 2pm. Eddie won the title of Britain’s Strongest Man in Belfast last year and – for a donation to the charities – will be challenging people to test their strength at the fundraiser on Sunday.

As well as the arm-wrestling challenge, there is lots going on at the Lichfield Road cricket club. There will be live music from The Nurons and Stone Scout and Guide Band, raffles and auctions, tombolas, nail painting, face painting, head shaves and waxings, Beat the Goalie, quizzes, snail races and lots and lots of stalls.

There are some great prizes in the raffles and auctions, including signed Stoke City shirts, a laptop, Disney on Ice tickets and a lovely wooden dolls’ house.

In the run-up to the fundraising afternoon local people have been raising money for the two charities through sponsored walks, obstacle courses, cycle rides, sponsored washing-ups and more. Thousands of pounds have been raised so far and organiser Sharon Turner hopes that thousands more will be raised on Sunday. Please go along and support if you can.

  • He looks a mean cookie. If it was thumb wrestling I’d be in but I think my arms may well snap off if I accept this challange!
