Charity meal for Guides’ Kenyan mission

A fundraising dinner is being held next month to raise money for the Smile Three Kididima Project. which will see 25 Stone Guides and leaders heading for Kenya in October to help build a school.

As well as working with Kenyan schoolchildren during their summer school, Guides from Stone and their leaders will be helping to finish the new school by painting, plastering and furnishing.

A three-course meal at the Three Crowns in Lichfield Road on Tuesday 9th October costs £15 per head, with proceeds going to the Smile Three Kiddima Project. For more information mail louiseandspence@btinternet.com

Girls from the Stone Outward Division have been fundraising for over a year, everything from bag packing at local supermarkets to sponsored bike rides, treks and parachute jumps. There have also been barn dances and murder mystery nights! So far they have raised over £40,000 to get the school in Kididima built – an amazing achievement!

If you can’t make the charity dinner, there are still lots of ways that you can support Stone’s Guides. Click here to find out how.
