Chestwood Design in Stone celebrates 25 years of all things kitchen and bedroom

Chestwood Design is celebrating 25 years of supplying Stone with bespoke kitchens and bedrooms, with over 1,000 installations in Stone and the surrounding areas.

Business owners Lesley and Gary Hemming told A Little Bit of Stone about hitting this fantastic achievement.

“It’s hard to believe, but April marks the 25th year we have been designing and fitting kitchens and bedrooms from Whitebridge Estate. Over the years we have moved around the estate, growing the workshop and showroom, till we settled in our current location.

I’ve seen the scope of kitchen design change over the years from purely wooden offerings, through the introduction of painted kitchens, curved cabinets and quartz worktops to the many glamourous, ultra modern designs which we also offer.”

The couple went on to explain:

“We pride ourselves on a few key qualities: we’re local, we’re personal, and we are fully flexible, which includes your budget. It’s myself, you will see from the first meeting, through fitting as I’m on site every day, and at the final sign-off. Being hands on guarantees what you see in the showroom will be what we deliver. 

Working alongside your partner for such a long time has some real benefits; we know each other inside out and can play to each other’s strengths. With the obvious challenges, too! But it’s worked for 25 years, and we’re still together, which says something for sure.

Being a fully independent supplier, means we can source from where we choose, enabling us to offer an extrememly wide range of styles, finishes from fully built to order in-frame kitchens to budget kitchens at DIY prices with the same quality cabinets made by Gary in the workshop at Stone.”

Lesley left us with this design tip:

“Stay in your comfort zone when it comes to colour choice. So many times, I’ve seen kitchens which tone with a pet dog, it’s more than a coincidence!”
