Chicos in Stone won the Best Mexican Restaurant award at the inaugural England and Wales Food Awards.
We’re a bit late with this great news (thanks to Alison O’Mara for letting us know about it), but it’s definitely still worth sharing! The restaurant, which is at the rear of the Crown Hotel, beat Mexican restaurants from Birmingham, Manchester, Sheffield and Newcastle upon Tyne to claim the award, which was voted for by the public.

Jimmy McLeod and Dagmar Polaskova collected their award at a glitzy ceremony at the Mercure Manchester Piccadilly Hotel in November, and it now takes pride of place in their restaurant. Huge congratulations to them!
