The fortieth anniversary of Stone Male Voice Choir is being marked in the carpet bed in Stonefield Park.
Stafford Borough Council appealed to the public for ideas in December and January and the initial planting for the 2011 design has now been completed.
It will bloom over the next few weeks to be a colourful feature in the award-winning park in Field Terrace.

The choir, formed in the town in 1961, performed a 40th anniversary concert earlier this month at St Dominic’s Church as part of Stone Festival.
