The Tour of Britain cyclists, including Olympic and Tour de France legend Bradley Wiggins, will be zipping through Stone on Thursday 13th September – and here’s the route they’ll be taking through the town.
Stage 5 of the Tour of Britain starts from Trentham Gardens at 10.30am – and it won’t take them long to reach Stone!

- They’ll come through Barlaston and past The Lakeside Tavern pub into Meaford
- They’ll hit Mount Road by the canal bridge and zip all the way along it, over the level crossing by The Talbot pub and down Station Road
- They’ll turn left at Wetherspoons before zooming round the ring road and turning left into Lichfield Street and then Lichfield Road (they’re expected here at about 10.54am)
- They’ll then head left on to the A51, passing Aston Marina on their way to Sandon
