A community clean-up team will be removing graffiti from the Radford Street railway bridge on Wednesday – and they need your help.
Kieron McKnight, the youth and children’s worker at Christ Church, will be attempting to clean the graffiti that was sprayed on to the bridge near Langtrys pub over the weekend.
Along with other church members Kieron will be starting the clean-up at 10am on Wednesday – and he’s asked people in the town to get involved.
Kieron said today: “It just looks terrible and we really need to get rid of it as soon as possible, so I hope people will come out and help. I’ll be getting lots of equipment but we’ll be relying on muscle power I think to clean it off and people who are coming along should bring a bucket if they can. I think it’s important for the community to make a stand and to say to whoever’s responsible for this that it won’t be tolerated.”
The graffiti that was sprayed on to the windows of the apartments marketing suite on the corner of Kings Avenue was removed today.
If you have any information about who’s responsible for the graffiti, please call police on 101.

Hi Tom- we were not allowed to clean the bridge. Network rail said we couldn’t. Some people decided that they would do it anyway. most were cleaning the other ‘tags’ in town. We will finish on sunday at 11am- if you are free we would like your help mate.
Tom
How come only part of it has been cleaned off?

Disqus generic email templateHi Nick. The group are meeting at 10am on the railway bridge near Langtrys. That’s the focus for tomorrow, I’m sure other clean-ups could well be arranged. Glad you can make it tomorrow. If you take any pictures, I’d be really grateful of you could mail them to news@alittlebitofstone.com ^Jamie
