Competition: Food festival 10th anniversary #2

2014 marks the 10th anniversary of Stone Food & Drink Festival. 

A Little Bit of Stone has teamed up with the Stone Food & Drink Festival to run 10 exclusive competitions to mark this big anniversary.

We’ll be running a competition each week up to the start of the Stone Food & Drink Festival and our 1st competition results are now in!

We asked, In what year was the first Stone Food & Drink Festival held? (Link to 1st Competition)

The answer is of course 2005, which wasn’t the answer given by the majority of people who responded!

And the winner is……Sarah Clewes who wins a pair of tickets to the main festival site at Westbridge Park on Friday 3rd October.

From it’s High Street roots the Stone Food & Drink Festival has become one of the regions most visited food festivals.  The mix of programme activities means that there’s something for everyone and the town really comes alive during the festival week.

The second prize on offer is two tickets for the main festival site on Westbridge Park for the second day of the festival, Saturday 4th October.

For those of you familiar with the town the first Saturday of the month sees the High Street transformed into one of the best farmers’ markets in the county.  Festival Saturday takes the farmers’ market to the next level so why not explore the market before heading up to the main site at Westbridge Park? Gates to the main site will open at 10am on the Saturday with the site closing at 6pm when you can of course move on to the various bars and restaurants that Stone has on offer.

The programme for Saturday includes Some of Staffordshire’s best chefs will be demonstrating their skills throughout the day starting at 1pm, on the hour, every hour. There will be over 100 stalls offering everything and anything to do with food and drink, as well as samplings, tastings, demonstrations, Gourmet Marquee, Taste of Staffordshire marquee, afternoon teas, Titanic’s ‘Best of Staffordshire’ beer tent, live music, children’s rides and more!
