Green-fingered residents have been invited on a free guided tour of a composting centre near Stone.
Stone in Bloom has organised the tour of Ainsworth Composting & Recycling at Mill Farm in Chebsey. Meet at 6pm on Wednesday 8th September at Westbridge Park car park – lifts are available for those without transport.
Ainsworth’s is one of the largest wood and green waste sites in the Midlands. Taking biodegradable waste from local authorities, landscape companies and others, it produces certified peat-free compost and mulch.

After the hour-long tour there will be the option of going for a pie and mash supper at The Royal Exchange in Radford Street (there is a charge for this).
