The works are due to affect the stretch between the Little Stoke railway crossing and the crossroads by Oak Tree Farm.

The official traffic order states the closure runs from Monday 6 April 2026 until Friday 17 April 2026.

But a yellow advance warning sign now in place on the road says it will be closed from Tuesday 7 April 2026 for two weeks.

Pedestrian access is expected to be maintained during the works, and emergency access is set to remain available via diversion.

What remains unclear from the published information is how vehicle access will work for places along this stretch, including Aston Lodge, Little Stoke Cricket Club and nearby side roads.

If you are travelling through the area once the works begin, feel free to comment on our article or social media posts with any real time updates on access, delays or what is happening on the ground.
