Earlier this month we caught up with Katy McBride who opened Wild Soul Connection on Eccleshall Road in May.
We asked Katy to tell us a little bit about her business and what it offers to the people of Stone.
Wild Soul Connection offers a variety of reflexology and reiki treatments including the world-renowned Bergman Method™ of facial reflexology – taught personally by Ziggie Bergman herself – and Baby Reflex™ workshops for parents, babies and toddlers. I have also developed bespoke corporate packages to endorse wellbeing in the workplace
Katy, 32, and hailing from Glasgow, Scotland found herself moving to Stone a little over two years ago – for love – and quickly fell in love with Stone itself for its quirky community spirit.
Previously Katy worked for over 11 years in the fast-paced construction industry, as a quantity surveyor.
Katy explains:
“I decided to make a bold change and follow a completely different path. One which focussed on helping others with the same tools that helped me deal with my own stress and anxiety”
And so Wild Soul Connection was born. “My Grandparents were reiki masters so I feel that I was always destined to follow the holistic path. Holistic Treatments helped me immensely in the aftermath of my younger brother’s death 13 years ago and the spiralling sadness which followed over the following years”
What came across from my time talking to Katy was how passionate she is about health and wellbeing.
“There are so many stresses in our everyday life which is why self-care and wellbeing is so vitally important. The relief of stress is just one of the many advantages of receiving a reflexology or reiki treatment. Others include aiding sleep disorders, pain relief, boosting circulation and nerve function.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing.”
