Could you be a county councillor?

An open day this month will give potential candidates for this year’s county council election an insight into how the authority works.

Tuesday March 28th will see three sessions being held in County Buildings, Martin Street, Stafford. They will focus on how the council works and the support on offer. County council officers will be on hand to give guidance on how the use of technology will be fundamental to the role, how scrutiny works and the Staffordshire Local Community Fund.  In addition there will be information on training and support, the civic role and different county council areas.

There will also be the opportunity to see and try out the technology used in the council chamber and have a guided tour of the historic County Buildings. Sessions will run from 1pm until 3pm, 3pm until 5pm and 5pm until 7pm.
