County transport vision is revealed

The future vision for Staffordshire’s transport network is now available to view online.

The first part of the Local Transport Plan (LTP) sets out the county council’s proposals for travel in and around Staffordshire.

It looks at walking, cycling, public transport, cars and freight as well as the management and maintenance of local roads and footpaths. It also explores wider issues that are affected by transport including the economy, community safety, the environment, health and quality of life.

Local residents helped to shape the structure of LTP’s Strategy Plan by taking part in a consultation last year.

The second part of the LTP – the Implementation Plan – will be online shortly. It will explain how money will be spent to provide residents and visitors to Staffordshire with the best possible transport network and infrastructure as well as describing how the county council plans to meet its targets and objectives over the next four years.
