The roof of the top pavilion at Little Stoke Cricket Club in Stone was blown right off in the storms on Wednesday night, as the aerial photo above clearly shows.
The storms brought down trees and damaged some buildings across the town, but it looks like the club was worse hit. The club – based at The Sid Jenkins Ground off Uttoxeter Road – is having to clear all the debris and is looking to build a replacement – but out of brick, as they said on their Twitter feed.
They’re currently holding winter nets sessions at Alleyne’s Sports Centre – lots more information on their website HERE
Stone business Dragonfly Aerial Images have offered to get aerial footage of people’s storm-damaged property in the town if they need it for insurance purposes. You can get in touch with them through their Facebook page HERE
