On Monday 8th September at 8am, A Little Bit of Stone’s crowdfunding campaign will go live. We really need your help to make the website even bigger and better.
All that’s been achieved with A Little Bit of Stone over the last four years (we celebrated our fourth birthday in August – yay!) has been done by fitting it around regular jobs in the evenings and at weekends. Although we’ve published around 40 stories every single month for the last four years, we’ve only really scratched the surface of what we can do with the site.
We want to do EVEN more and make A Little Bit of Stone bigger and better.
This is why we’re launching a crowdfunding campaign, and we’re looking to raise £15,000.
This will help us to deliver a top quality new website with lots of new features and will enable me (this is Jamie writing!) to devote two-and-a-half days to A Little Bit of Stone to increase the amount of news and information we provide – more coverage of local news and events, local sport, politics, charities, community organisations and independent businesses, and more video content.
We’ve done so much in four years – just imagine what we can achieve with some dedicated time to work on it!
This is how we’ll use the funds: £12,000 to enable Jamie to devote two-and-a-half days to A Little Bit of Stone / £3,000 to deliver our new website.
Individuals AND local businesses can support us and help to take the site to the next level.
Individuals can pledge between £10 and £50, with a range of rewards on offer, including tickets to the launch party of our new website! Businesses can take out one of a range of limited advertising and promotional packages on our new website.
Our crowdfunding campaign will go live on Monday 8th September and will run for six weeks. However, it’s really important that our campaign gets off to a good start, so if you’re going to support us, please get in there and do it in the first few days – thank you!
