Stone’s M-viron mobile phone shop has pledged to pay back all money spent in its Stone store on Saturday if Stoke City triumph in the FA Cup Final.
Managing director Sarah White says she will be rooting for Stoke City – even though she stands to lose thousands of pounds.
“I will definitely be celebrating with friends and colleagues if Stoke win,” she said. “Many of our customers and staff members support the Potters. Over and above that, a Stoke victory would be a great boost to local pride and would raise the profile of Stoke and Staffordshire around the world.”
M-viron – based in the Co-op Arcade off the High Street – supply mobile phones and accessories to business and the public in general. The company works with the Orange and T-Mobile telecom networks.
Stoke City face the multi-millionaires of Manchester City in the FA Cup Final on Saturday.
Sarah said: “The Potters may be the underdogs but a repeat of the fantastic performance against Bolton in the semi-finals and they can bring the cup home.”
Another Stone firm desperate to see the Potters win on Saturday is Lymestone Brewery, who brewed a special ale to celebrate Stoke City reaching the semi-final.
