There’s still time to nominate work colleagues, carers, friends and family members for a special award, with just a month to go until the closing date.
Now in their fifth year, the Staffordshire Dignity in Care Awards recognises groups and individuals who care for the most vulnerable amongst us with dignity and compassion.
There are seven awards up for grabs, including Dignity Champion, Leadership Award, Young Dignity Champion, and Informal Carer of the Year. The Awards are open to those who work in the care sector as well as informal and young carers.
Alan White, Deputy Leader at Staffordshire County Council and Cabinet Member for Health, Care and Wellbeing said “Our awards are a great opportunity to celebrate and thank the thousands of carers in Staffordshire who do a wonderful job.
“The awards have been a huge success since we launched them back in 2014 and talking to previous winners they all tell us what a special event it is. We’ve already had nominations in for all categories but we want to get as many people to nominate as possible and there’s still time. So, if you know a brilliant carer, dedicated young carer or a great care company then please get them nominated”.

The closing date for nominations is 30th April 2019. Shortlisted nominees will be invited to the awards ceremony on 10 July 2019 at Newcastle under Lyme College.
