Stone Dominoes footballer Dylan Scott, 8, is just one of 18 boys to join Stoke City’s next influx of young stars.
Dylan, who has played number 9 for Stone Dominoes yellows for the past 2 years, has been spotted and picked out of around 250 young footballers nationwide.
Proud mum, Laura Scott, said:
Dylan has been football mad since he has been able to walk at 9 months. Anything that could be kicked, he did, from socks and toys!
Dylan and the 17 other boys were officially signed up on Tuesday morning, April 29th, where they had the chance to meet the Stoke City players and also had a tour of the Britannia Stadium.
However, Stoke City weren’t the only club to spot Dylan.
He was also offered places at Crewe, Manchester United, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Port Vale, but chose to stay local with Stoke.
When asked about his ultimate goal for his football career, instead of saying “playing for England”, Dylan said his ultimate achievement would be:
To score an overhead kick!
Dylan starts his news season in September.
