This coming August bank holiday weekend (25th and 26th August, 2018), Bent’s Brew House will be launching EFestival, Eccleshall’s inaugural music festival.
EFestival will bring together a multitude of acts over several stages, including bands that are recently or on the cusp of being signed to a record label and giving festival goers a real opportunity to experience talent that’s about to break in to the big time.
The Little George, which recently celebrated its first birthday on 28th July, will host the majority of the festival. The party atmosphere of the main stage will be complemented by a more mellow, acoustic stage, meaning there’s something for all tastes. Festival goers will have exclusive access to Real Ale, Gin, Prosecco and Craft beer bars as well as coffees, teas and Thai street food to keep you fuelled throughout the weekend. Music takes place at The Little George from 12-10pm on Saturday 25th August and 12-6pm on Sunday 26th.
Acts include:
- Open Arms, a four-piece, upcoming indie pop band from Birmingham who have really started to cause a stir, and are gaining the praise and approval of some of the biggest names in popular music, including Lulu, Peter Andre and The Twangs, Matty Clinton, and sharing the same stage with a number of them too.
- Alchemy, a local three-piece band who inject great fun as they take well-known classics and not-so-well-known covers and give them a unique twist that makes them sound fresh and different
- The King’s Pistol, a unique accoustic driven trio from Chester drawing their influence from the darker side of English folk music as well as Americana and 60’s psychedelia such as Love and The Doors
- Jeramiah Ferrari, a unique, 4-piece band from Manchester that never disappoints and who have shared the stage with the likes of Madness and UB40
- Headliners Oaces, one of the UK’s best tribute acts, performing songs from one of England’s greatest ever rock bands (Oasis).
As well as the activites at The Little George, the wider Eccleshall business community is also offering a number of special activities and discounts for festival goers including BOGOF breakfasts from Fletcher’s Garden Centre, a Sunday ‘recover and refuel’ full English at the Artisan Independent Coffee Shop, a massive 15% discount on all wines and spirits from Three Pillar Wines, 10% discounts at Gallery 12 and Spencer’s the Jewellers and 10% discount off your total bill at The King’s Arms for diners between 12-5pm. When the music finishes at The Little George on Sunday, festival goers can then meander a short distance down the High Street to The Royal Oak to continue their revelries at the Gin Festival – it’s a bank holiday weekend after all!
There are also offers for weekend overnight stays from Eccleshall B&B, Eagle House, The King’s Arms and The Little George so you can relax in comfort after a busy day of fun.
Andy McGee, General Manager of The Little George said “we are excited to be able to host the insuagural EFestival. This is an exciting opportunity for people to see and appreciate all that Eccleshall has to offer. We have already received great support for the event and we hope this will be the start of an annual and ever growing festival in Eccleshall.”
There are a few tickets remaining with prices of £20 for weekend, £15 for Saturday only and £7.50 for Sunday only. Tickets can be purchased from The Little George in person or by calling 01785 859246, or online at https://efestival18.eventbrite.co.uk.
